Welcome to the very first edition of the Whole Health Weekly.
If you have followed us for a while, you know we previously shared longer blogs and a traditional newsletter. Our new podcast, Different Life, is now taking the place of that deeper content. That is where we will explore ideas, stories, philosophy, and long-form conversations. That content will also be available on our blog page.
Because of that shift, we created this new version of our newsletter.
Each week, you can expect a few simple things.
A clear perspective.
One practical exercise.
One small health action.
Plus, a look inside what we are seeing in the clinic.
Simple. Useful. Direct.
Weekly perspective
Stop Chasing Pain!
Most people wait until something hurts. Then they act.
That pattern is predictable. And it is expensive.
Pain is rarely the first signal. It is usually the last warning. Before pain shows up, strength has declined. Recovery has slipped. Sleep is inconsistent. Training is rushed or nonexistent. Stress builds quietly. The body does not break suddenly. It erodes gradually.
Our job is not just to calm pain down. It is to raise your baseline so pain becomes less likely in the first place.
Health is not reactive. It is built on standards.
Exercise of the week
Exercise: Deep Forward Lunge
Who it is for:
Athletes building knee resilience. Parents rebuilding leg strength. Anyone who wants durable hips and knees.
Why it matters:
The deep forward lunge trains strength through range. It builds control at the hip and knee while challenging balance and coordination. That combination carries over to sport, lifting, and daily life.
Coaching cues:
Take a long step forward. Lower under control and own the bottom position before pushing back.
Common mistake:
Rushing the descent and bouncing out of the bottom instead of controlling the full range.
Strength at depth creates confidence under load.
Healthy tip of the week
Tip: Take the stairs.
Not occasionally. Intentionally.
Every time you have the choice this week, choose the stairs. It is a small identity shift. You become someone who chooses movement instead of convenience.
Small daily friction builds long term capacity.
This week in the clinic
Amazing Gains!
This week we are seeing an increase in pelvic floor related questions and resource requests, which tells us more people are starting to recognize these issues are common but not something they have to live with. We are also working with a mom of two navigating ACL recovery while balancing family life, along with an elite dancer managing hip and back pain while continuing to train. Different situations, same underlying demand. These are people who cannot just shut things down. Our role is helping them build capacity so they can keep showing up without breaking down.
